McCaw Hall Open House

Today the McCaw Hall hosted an open house to kick start their fall season. There were various performers showcased at the opera house who entertained the audiences that my friend, Maggie, and I took part in. We showed up early and had coffee at the opera house while watching the opening act take over the main floor. The pair danced around and worked with instruments of their own design. They had created massive bell and string instruments it took both of them to play. The main show was an opera put on by four main cast members and the Seattle Children's Orchestra as well as an all girls choir. During one intermission there were kazoo lessons for the audience (sad to say I was terrible) and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves.  After the main show concluded she and I went a few blocks over to enjoy a delicious lunch at The Citizen, where she ordered possibly the largest salad either of us had ever seen and I indulged in a mushroom and spinach crepe with balsamic glaze.
